Horrible Maintenance Service

Would give 0 stars if I could. Be warned about the "24 hour maintenance service". We do not recommend these apartments to anyone and now understand why all the reviews are so bad.

Pet Friendly

I recently toured at Foothill Place with my dog and I was so excited to finally find a pet friendly community, with a dog park! Looking forward to our new home! I had trouble finding the leasing office but the friendly staff was able to walk me through finding the building!

Nothing Special

The Foothill Place Apartments are not the cheapest in Salt Lake or Sugarhouse. But two pools, a small fitness center, and a great location by the highway and by the U make it a fine place to live. The management is a bit surly and maintenance isn't same day, but you won't be surprised by anything if you read the contract thoroughly. The apartments appear nicer than they are at first, but upon closer inspection you will see that the cabinets are fairly cheap and not everything is perfectly assembled. The worst thing about this complex is the number of rowdy neighbors, but it has only been a problem during the summer when the pool is open. A good place to live for a bit, but not forever.

Just ok

This apartment isn't that great but it also isn't that bad. The price is pretty good for the size and location and it has a number of great amenities. I rent a two bedroom that is about 800 square feet. It is newly renovated and beautiful. It comes with two sliding doors, shared bathroom but separate entrances and cabinets. The only downfall to the apartment itself is you can hear EVERYTHING. The walls seem pretty thick but the ceiling is paper thin. I can literally hear the person above me cough at night. All the doors seem to have about an inch short so you can hear everything that goes on in the hallway. I was laying in my room a night and two girls were outside WHISPERING and I could hear the whole conversation. As far as the amenities they are great and an added bonus. They have a wonderful dog park that I use every day. Rock wall, sauna, volleyball court, two pools, hot tub, gym and nightly security patrol. Because of all the things to do here you really get to know your neighbors! Last is the parking. Kind of a nightmare. Its only $20 for covered parking and a TON of uncovered free for all. But it seems like they assign parking spots at random. My spot is not very close to my building so I rarely us it because I can find uncover parking closer. But it seems like that is the case for about 50% of the residents to a night the uncovered parking fills up FAST. All in all Foothill place is a decent place to live!

Hoped for better

Foothill place apartments are in a great location overlooking the valley. The apartments themselves aren't so amazing, or at least the one I'm currently in. This one has cheap flooring and counters and the pantry is literally a large deep empty space where you have to strategically stack your food on top of itself, no shelves at all. The stove is always needing to be fixed. Everything in the bathroom isn't mounted correctly. The bedroom and living room are a nice size. But Honestly I feel like I've been paying 980$ a month for a mediocre 1 bedroom apartment. They have been doing renovations lately but they probably won't get to this one until we move out.
